The Mothers and Daughters Care Initiative (MADACI) is a community-based organization dedicated to empowering adolescent girls and young women (AGYW). The organization focuses on improving sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), promoting mental well-being, creating livelihood opportunities, and advocating for gender equality. Through education, mentorship, policy advocacy, and community engagement, MADACI helps young women make informed decisions and build healthier, more independent futures.
MADACI improves the lives of adolescent girls and young women by increasing access to accurate SRHR information, strengthening mental health support, promoting economic empowerment, and encouraging community dialogue on gender-related issues. Its programs help reduce vulnerability to early pregnancy, HIV infection, gender-based discrimination, and limited economic opportunities while empowering young women to take charge of their futures. Results Increased awareness of sexual and reproductive health rights among adolescent girls and young women. Improved access to SRHR education and healthcare referrals. Enhanced mental health awareness and psychosocial support. Greater economic empowerment through livelihood development programs. Stronger community engagement through intergenerational dialogue and advocacy. Increased public awareness on women's rights and reproductive justice through campaigns, policy advocacy, and digital outreach.
MADACI delivers integrated empowerment programs that combine comprehensive sexual and reproductive health education, mental health support, economic empowerment, advocacy, and community dialogue. By working with communities, healthcare providers, policymakers, and development partners, the organization equips adolescent girls and young women with the knowledge, resources, and opportunities needed to make informed life choices and achieve long-term social and economic well-being.
